v.1 1. God’s promises are not time deficient, that is there is sufficient time for the
claiming of God’s promises.
(…Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much and to
be possessed.)

v.1 2. God desires the partaking by His people of all the land of promise.
(land to be possessed.)

v.2 3. God has a very great land of promise to give to His people.
(This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all
Geshuri,)

v.3 4. The fate of the unjust remains the same; they are not an obstacle to the
plan or promises of God.
(From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto  the borders of Ekron northward,
which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites,
and the Ashdothites, the Eshkaionites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the
Avites:)

v.4 5. All that God has promised to and for His people remains to be claimed by
faith.
(From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the
Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:)

v.5 6. God lays out before His people the places and points of privilege and gives
assurance of the promised fulfilment, illustrated by past faithfulness.
(And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from
Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.)

v.6 7. The way of victory remains the same, no matter the opposition or challenge.
(All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and
all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only
divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded
                 thee.)
The new testament declares-Jesus is the way. John 14
