The Perfecting of God's Love 1 John 4: 12

(and His love is perfected in us.) 

Because of the mercy covering sin, the perfecting of God's love is revealed. 

1) A love for the undeserving.

2) A love for the unworthy. 
valueless 

3) A love for the proud. 

4) A love for the rebellious 

5) A love for the slothful. 
too lazy to seek God 

6) A love for the helpless. 

7) A love for the hopeless.

He That is of God John 8: 43, 45-47

v.31 1. Hearing follows believing.
v.30- (many believed on Him)   v.31- (then said Jesus …)

v.43 2. Understanding follows hearing.
(Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot 
hear my word.)

v.43, 3. Truth follows understanding.
  45 (understand …)   (v.45- (And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.)

v.45 4. Believing a lie follows rejecting the truth.
(and because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.)

v.46 5. Conviction follows truth.
(Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not
                believe me?)

v.46, 6. Commitment follows conviction.
   47 (v.47- ( He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, 
because ye are not of God.)

v.47 7. Validation follows commitment, leads to more hearing.
(He that is of God heareth God’s words.)

(That the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord)

v.11, 2. His counsel.
   12 (And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in 
Egypt, …Wherefore hast thou dealt with us, )…

v.13 3. His plan.
(Fear not, stand still …)

v.13 4. His control.
(and see the salvation of the Lord which He will show to you
today;)

v.14 5. His powerful presence.
(The Lord shall fight for you,)

v.21, 6. His faithful hand.
  29 (…and the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry 
                ground; …)

v.30, 7. His loving loyalty.
  31 (Thus the Lord saved Israel that day … And Israel saw that great work …)

What God's People Should Have Done Psalms 89: 1-52

v.1 1. Kept on singing of God’s mercies, attesting to His faithfulness.
(I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known
thy faithfulness to all generations.)

v.7 2. Fear God; recite or recount His record with men. (it is visible in scripture.)
(God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in 
reverence of all them that are about Him.)

v.11 3. Acknowledge God’s true authority in and over all of life.
(The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fullness
thereof, thou hast founded them.) …

v.14 4. Seek to live in a truly just manner, honoring God’s nature and word.
(Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go
before thy  face.)

v.15 5. Hear the sound of His presence.
     (Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the
light of thy countenance.)…
the sound of His voice of counsel, of instruction; the spirit of His adoption, of
                His approving,
the power of His might, His rule through/over creation.

v.16 6. Rejoice in the Lord; be pleased with/in righteousness.
(In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be
exalted.)
Be pleased with God’s name and your new name in Christ.

v.18- 7. Live with God as your defender.
     25 (For the Lord is our defense: and the holy One of Israel is our king.)

v.21 8. Allow God to build up your life, to be responsible for your name and work. 
(With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.)

v.26 9. Cry directly to God when in need.
(He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my 
salvation.)…

v.28 10. Cling to God’s covenant.
(My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast
                with him.)

v.30 11. Teach your children to follow God, as you have learned to follow God.
(If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;) …

v.31 12. Focus on obedience.
(If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;)

v.38- 13. Love God with all your heart; Avoid the pitfalls of one’s own destruction.
     51 (But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.) 
(Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his 
                crown casting it to the ground.) 
(Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to
ruin.)
(All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbors.)

v.52 14. Bless the Lord in heart.
(Blessed be the Lord for evermore. Amen, and Amen.)

The Search for Wisdom Psalms 90: 12

(So teach us to number our days, that we may aply our hearts unto widsom.)

1. To discover God’s way.
How He leads.

2. To learn God’s truth.
as related to our specific needs.

3. To know God’s heart.
To know how to please Him.
This is so important.

4. To love God completely.
So leading to acceptance of His will and ways.

5. To see God’s word followed.
(His word is right always. We are to be knowledgeable in His word and 
follow its guidance.   Ps. 32: 8

6. To be loyal and steadfast in service to God.
not weary in well doing.

7. To make God’s desire our priority.

The Closet of Prayer Psalms 11

1. Prayer has both a beginning and an ending.
We talk to God who is both the Alpha and the Omega.

2. Prayer has specific intent, specific purpose.

3. Prayer gains specific answers, specific instruction.

4. Prayer is in season, never out of season.

5. Prayer is the continuing solution for continuing need.
as in v. 3, 4

6. Prayer is over temporarily when the meeting with God has taken place and
reaches God given conclusion.
peace that passeth understanding, revelation, counsel, instruction, reproof,
some exchange from God to the believer’s heart.

7. The believer need continue until prayer’s meeting time is closed.

The Ministry Door Opened Acts 9: 43

1. God can amazingly open doors.

2. A servant need only enter the door God has opened.

3. A servant need stay while the door is open.

4. A servant need remember who opened the door.

5. A servant has a ministry of truth to perform.

6. God defines those in need of ministry.

7 A servant should let God choose when to close the door.

3. Get in a position to know God.

4. Entreat spiritual faith.

5. Recount His testimonies. (meditate on the victories of the word)
(know that I am God: I will)

6. Exalt the Lord in your own heart.
(I will be exalted in the earth.)

v.11 7. Abide in His presence.
(The Lord of hosts is with us;)

Man's Way Often Looks Easier Genesis 17: 16-21

v.16 1.Staring long enough at impossibility will weaken the promised  opportunity of faith.
  16 ( And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her:) 
        ( Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed,)

v.17 2.Living in the sense world will tarnish spiritual sensitivity.
( Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed,)

v.17 3.Doubt attempts to possess the heart first.
( and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old?....) 

v.17 4.The attempt to understand God's way by man's reasoning will not work.
(.... and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old bear?)

v.18 5.It would appear much easier to just use a plan already in existence.
( And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!)

v.20 6.What man initiates, God may in mercy sustain.
( And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee,......)

v.21 7.God's commitment is to His plan.
( But my covenant will I establish with Isaac,......)
