Looking to the Little Ones Numbers 14: 31, 33

Read the passage Numbers 14

(But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and
they shall know the land which ye have despised.)

1. The parent who believes God has mistreated God’s little ones is greatly
mistaken and accusing in error.
see v. v. 3

2. The parent who fails to live a life of truth before his children will become an
  example to them through error.

3. God is looking out for the next generation, to protect their opportunity of
faith.

4. There is a significant reason why a parent is to look to the future- to protect
the faith of a child.

5. Faith of children is not penalized by the faithlessness of parents.
They will have the opportunity to trust God in the new land.

v.33 6. Children of erring parents gain a strong reproof of faithless conduct before
God.
(And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your
whoredoms, and your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness.)

7. God desires that His truth be honored by the people of God, believed in,
followed, held up, obeyed, and its message of God’s life presented.
the light not hid under a bushel
