God's Manifest Presence Exodus 4 1-4

Read the passage: Exodus 4

3:10 1) He calls not in vain.
(Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh,)

3:10 2) God's assignment is by itself overwhelming when seen from man's point of view.
(that thou mayest bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.)
God, however, is not asking for man's power.

4:1 3) God can equip his servant to do what He asks.
(and Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, ... )

v.2, 4) God’s power exceeds all other.
   3    (A rod …Cast it on the ground …It became a serpent;)
He can do that which is impossible and unexplainable to man.

v.3 5) As God purposes, so shall it be.
(And it became a serpent.)

v.4 6.) God’s power is not only of origination but also of reversal.
(…And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand;)
The power to change.

7) The issue to a servant is God’s manifest presence and the servant’s obedience.
All else will surrender to God’s might.
