The Honor of Child Like Faith Luke 18 15-17





Read the passage: Luke 18


v.15 1. The favor of Jesus is well desired of those who love their children and see the need for the heavenly Father’s blessing upon their lives.
(And they bought unto Him also infants, that He would touch them: but)


v.15 2. Sometimes servants cannot see the ministry in the ministry.
(but when His disciples saw it, they rebuked them.)

The ministry of Jesus was too important for these little ones, it would appear.

v.16 3. There is no ministry apart from faith in the work and word of the Lord Jesus; children typify this trust.
(But Jesus called them unto Him, and said, Suffer little children to come
unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.)


v.16 4. The way of salvation requires child like faith. 
(Suffer little children to come unto me, and)

v.16 5. Jesus rewards child like faith.
(forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.)


v.17 6. Salvation does not come by man’s understanding nor man’s control or influence but by child like trust.
(Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.)


v.17 7. Only ones who comes through Christ enter the kingdom of God.
