Proper Trust in Prayer Luke 18: 13, 14

v.13 1. No presumption.
(A tax collector)
come as you are
the privilege of salvation, the basis of grace
the woman with an issue of blood; no pretense

v.13 2. No overvaluing of self worth.
(standing afar off)

v.13 3. No pride.
(would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven,)

v.13 4. Taking ones place among the undeserving.
(smote upon his breast)

v.13 5. Asking for God’s mercy.
(God be merciful to me a sinner)

v.13 6. Asking for God’s cleansing.
(a sinner)

v.14 7. Gaining God’s heart.
(I tell you this man went down to his house justified  rather than the other; for 
everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased and he that humbleth 
himself shall be exalted.)
