When Victory Comes Luke 5: 4-6

v.5 1. Often when the believer has exhausted his resources in the pursuit of    
                fruitfulness.
(And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night,)
resources of time, energy, financial, …
The believer has made his own attempts and failed.

v.4 2. When the Master visits the scene of powerlessness and has compassion
upon the servant in need.
(Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, …)

v.5 3. When the believer abandons his own plans and reasonings and
reaches to the Master.
(And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night,
and have taken nothing: nevertheless )
(Nevertheless)  There is a switch in choice, a change of following.

v.5 4. When the authority of Christ and His word occupies a place of pre-eminence.
(Nevertheless at thy word)

v.5 5. When fulness of surrender visits the servant’s heart.
(Nevertheless at thy word I will)

v.5 6. When surrender is followed by the simplicity and power of obedience.
(Nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.)

v.6. 7. The obedient heart of trusting in the Master is met with abundant supply
from the Master.
(And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes:
and their net brake.)
