(As the hart panteth after the water brooks,s o panteth my soul after thee, O 

God.)

1. Because conditions about have caused dryness.

drought, seasonal changes.

2. Because of the chase of an enemy.

3. Because of normal exercise. (spiritual)

4. Because of need for replenishment.

v.2 5. Because of the satisfying taste.

(My soul thirsteth for God,)

v.2 6. Because of its life sustaining value.

(for the living God;)

v.2 7. Because of present limited capacity.

(When shall I come and appear before God?)
