A Father of Conviction Joshua 24: 14, 15

v.14            1.            Fears God above all others.

                        (fear the Lord,)

v.14            2.            Knows and loves God’s truth.

                        (And serve Him in sincerity and in truth;)

v.14            3.            Allows no interests that would divide him (separate) from God.

                        (And put away the gods which your fathers served.)

v.14            4.            His life has a message of loyalty and devotion.

                        (…serve ye the Lord.)

v.15            5.            Has made an irrevocable choice to follow God.

                        (…choose you this day whom ye will serve,)

v.15            6.            His family follows his spiritual leadership.

                        (but as for me and my house)

v.15            7.            Is unsurrendered to anything less than God’s best for his family.

                        (But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.)
