Finding Favor With God Luke 1: 28-55

Read the passage Luke 1


v.28 1. A special visitation and assignment from God.
(And the angel came in to unto her, and said, Hail, thou that are highly favoered, )

v.28 2. God’s abiding presence to guide one’s course.
(favoued, the Lord is with thee: blessed)

v.28 3. God’s blessing beyond measure.
(blessed art thou among women.)

v 29,30
        4. God’s freedom from troubling and fear is given.
(And when she saw [him], she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.)

v 31 5. Opportunity beyond expectation.
(And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.)

v 32 6. Participation in God’s great plan.
(He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David)(Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.(

v 34 7) A walk with God beyond normalcy.
(Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?)

v 35 8) The affirmation and witness of the Holy Spirit.
(And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.)

v 35 9. A powerful encounter with God’s Holiness, God’s power, God’s word.
(And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.)

v 46-10.  Exceeding joy.
(And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,) (And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.)
