A Heart Truly Responding to Jesus Luke 1: 46-55

Read the passage Luke 1

v.46 1. It so magnifies Jesus.
(And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,)

v.47 2. It is filled with joy.
(And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.)

v.47 3. It is blessed with the gift of salvation.
(And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.)

v.48 4. It is fulfilled in Jesus alone.
(For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.)

v.49 5. It experiences the might of Jesus and is blessed.
(For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy [is] his name.)

v.50 6. It is overwhelmed by God’s mercy.
(And his mercy [is] on them that fear him from generation to generation.)

V 517.  It has a witness of God’s strength ruling over the proud.
(He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.)

v.52 8.  It is overwhelmed with a sense of God’s justice.
(He hath put down the mighty from [their] seats, and exalted them of low degree.)

v.53 9.  It rejoices in God’s equity.
(He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.)

v.54, 55
       10. It sees God’s true commitment to His people.
(He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of [his] mercy;)(As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.)
