The Opening of God Acts 16: 25-34

Read the passage Acts 16


v.25 1. Prayer undaunted by circumstances.
(And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed,)

v.25 2. Praise unquenched by despair.
( and sang praise unto God …) 

v.25 3. Proclamation unquieted by indifference.
(and the prisoners heard them)

v.26 4. Power unstoppable by man’s confinement.
(and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were 
shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.)

v.27 5. Persuasion unsuppressed by human authority.
(And the keeper of the prison awaking our of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open,
he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had
  been fled.)

v.28 6. Patience undefiled by man’s irresponsibility.
(But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, do0

v.28 7. Protection unsurpassed by the enemy’s deception.
(do thyself no harm: for we are all here.)

v.29,8. Proof undeniable to a seeking heart.
  30 (Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul
  and Silas.) (And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do
to be saved?)

v.31 9. Provision unmerited to the undeserving.
(And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.)

v.31 10. Propitiation unequalled for a repentant sinner.
(the Lord Jesus Christ.)

v.31 11. Promise unshakeable by doubting accusation.
(thou shalt be saved)

v.32 12. Preference unchangeable by God’s own choice.
(And they spoke unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his
house.)

v.33 13. Profession unashamed before others.
(And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes: and was 
baptized, he and all his, straightway.)

v.33 14. Promptness unabated in fellowship.
(the same hour)

v.33 15. Priority unequivocally for other’s needs.
(he and all his,)

v.34 16. Praise unseparable from God’s glory.
(And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, 
believing )

v.34 17. Presence uninterruptible with God forever.
(believing in God with all his house.)
