vs.23 1) Though we are in a time of challenge, it is not time to let up on faithfulness.
(And Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation: ..• )

vs.23 2) Though we are not in the land of freedom, we must still teach the truths of freedom.
( ..• were brought up upon Joseph's knees.)

vs.24 3) Though your own dreams and visions come to an end, hope and faith are not cut off.
(And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die;)
This is living the abiding life of Christ, tied to the eternal ‘vine’.
His life and purposes are timeless.

vs.24 4) Though we know not what is to come we know God will be with us.
(And God will surely visit you)

vs.24 5) Though we may not have present fulfilment of God's promises, fulfilment is to come.
(and bring you out of this land ... )

vs.24 6) Though your spiritual fathers have partaken of God's promises, we must also partake.
(which He swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.)

vs.25 7) The promises of God are worth our tying our life to.
(And Joseph took an oath •.• God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from here.)
