A Serving Servant Philippians 1: 1-11

v.1 1. Promoting unity.

(to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and 

deacons:)

respects authority

v,2 2. Beseeching God’s favor.

(Grace be unto you, and peace, from God, our Father, and from the Lord Jesus

Christ,)

v.3 3. Being grateful for God’s accomplishment.

(I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,)

v.3,4 4. Being an example in prayer.

(always in every prayer of mine for you all)

v.5 5. Encouraging fellowship with Christ.

(for your fellowship in the gospel …)

v.6 6. Trusting God’s work.

(Being confident)

v.7 7. Affirming and partaking of the same grace.

(and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my

grace.)

V.8 8. Loyal.

( For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus

Christ)

v.9- 9. Seeking genuine Godly gain for God’s people.

   11 (and this I pray)

v.11 10. Desiring honor to Christ.

(which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.)
