v.5 1. The only accepted response to God’s word is to do as God directs.
(And the Lord put a ward in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return to Balak, and
thus thou shalt speak.)

v.8 2. The word of God is a bar to the enemy which he cannot cross.
(How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or)

v.8 3. God’s word may not be defied by the enemy.
(or whom the Lord hath not defied?)

v.9 4. God’s word is a barrier that protects and safeguards the people of God and
their heritage of God’s promises.
(For from the top of the rocks I see Him, …lo, the people shall dwell alone
and shall not be reckoned among the nations.)

v.10 5. The security of God’s promises is without question.
(Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of
Israel?)

v.12 6. The word of God cannot be denied by any.
(And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the
Lord hath put in my mouth?)

7. As God has promised His people, so shall it be.
