Read the passage: Joshua 17
v.14 1. God’s great blessings result in great needs.
(I am a great people forasmuch as the Lord hath blessed me hitherto.)
Great blessings bring great responsibilities.
v.15 2. Great needs require great faith and great works of faith.
(…get thee up to the forest area, and cut down for thyself …of the giants)
v.15,3. Great faith is able to overcome great obstacles.
16 (giants) (chariots of iron)
v.16 4. Great faith is accompanied by great visions of understanding.
(The hill is not enough for us)
able to see growth
v.16 5. Great visions require great undertakings.
(the Canaanites that dwell in the land …)
See an enemy to overcome; enemy must be routed.
v.17 6. Great undertakings require great power.
(have chariots of iron, …have great power)
v.18 7. Great power gains great victory.
(thou shalt drive out the Canaanites though they have iron chariots, and
though they are strong.)
