Which Has Greater Value? Luke 16 19-23


Read the passage: Luke 16


v.19 1. All the world’s goods now or the abundance of heaven to come.
(a certain rich man which was clothed in purple and fine lined, and …)

v.19 2. All man’s ways seemingly  rewarded now or God’s reward for eternity.

v.20 3. The accusation of missed opportunity or the reward of God’s grace.
(a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores.)

v.21 4. Impoverished physical condition now or the promise and presence of true
   25 riches in eternity.
(And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table:)
(But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy 
good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but not he is comforted, and
thou art tormented.)

v.21 5. All of modern medicine’s solutions and extensions now or dwelling in
heaven’s perfection with a glorified body forever.
(moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.)

v.22,6. All the world can offer and still dieing or all heaven offers and living forever
  23 with Jesus.
(And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels
  into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;)  (And in
  hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,)

v.23 7. God’s justice or God’s mercy.
(in hell … seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.)
