Simple Truths Revealed Through the Resurrection Mark 16

Read the passage: Mark 16

  1. Sin has no virtue, nor victory.
Ch. 15 Though all the world represents it to be .Though men glamorize sin.

  2. Sin's debt will be paid- through redemption or judgment.
15: 27- And with Him they crucify two thieves; see also Luke 23: 39-43

The cross provided the payment for all who believe in Christ for salvation.
All rejecting Christ will most surely be judged in their unforgiven sin, all of it.

  3. Death's hold, apart from life given through Christ, is final. Romans 6:23
16: 1-3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone ...

  4. Death has no authority over the righteous.
16: 6- And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth,

which was crucified: He is risen; He is not here:
Nor does sin. sin =death Sin is powerless as well Romans 4: 8, 22-25; 6: 3-7,

That power passed from Christ to the believer.

  5. The power of God brings life to the dead positionally; the knowledge of the power of God brings fear to the heart first, then life practically.
v.8- And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
When a believer realizes the power of the resurrection, he really can live freely. Live in the power of the resurrection.
Practical- John 8: 32 Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Positional- John 8: 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be
    free indeed.

  6. New life does not spring from death, but from life.
v.9- Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils. Luke 24: 5 Life from Jesus' life, the only life.
Mary Magdalene could not lose what she had been given.

    Romans 5: 10, 8: 11, 16, 17

  7. The barrier of unbelief is broken; that broken state is to be continued in, lest unbelief produce hardness of heart.
16: 13, 14- Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and

upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen.
Upbraiding of His disciples was very significant here, not often done.
Believer today- don’t permit a hardened heart.

  8. The message for every man, from man to man, need not change.
v.15- And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

  9. Opportunity for life is given to every man; he that believeth hath life.
v.15, 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 11: 25 , 26 I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

    10. Such truth is sufficient for the believer until Jesus returns for the believer.
v.20- And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with
them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
v.19 sufficient in representation, advocacy, intercession, provision
         v. 17, 18, 20 sufficient in ministry, in security 14: 62 sufficient until He returns
