As illustrated by Jesus:

v.11 1. Thanks for what He has.
(And Jesus took the loaves, …)

v.11 2. Thanks for His Father’s hearing of the matter.
(And when He had given thanks)

v.11 3. Thanks for being able to honor His Father and reveal the greatness of His
Father.
(He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down?
and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.)

v.11 4. Thanks for what is yet to take place.
Precedence of need; preceding supply.
Jesus knows the end at  the beginning.
Thanks based upon heaven’s measure, not earth’s measure.

v.14 5. Thanks because of the relationship that exists from being God’s Son.
Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is
of a truth the prophet that should come into the world.)
We are God’s child; sons of God are we.

v.12, 6. Thanks commensurate with the fullness of heaven.
13 (Therefore they gathered together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments
of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had
                eaten.)

v.15 7. Thanks for the rule of the Father over life.
When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force,
to make Him a king, He departed again into a mountain Himself alone.)
The Father knew the time of Jesus and protected His ministry.
