Read the passage Luke 16
(Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery:
and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth
adultery.)
1. God has a changeless standard for marriage also.
2. The loyalty to God as Master is the loyalty marriage must be built upon- loyalty to
one’s mate.
3. The act of putting away a marriage partner is an act of man’s origin- man’s will.
4. The belief that God’s standard may be just set aside is a false one.
5. A man setting aside God’s standard of commitment in marriage to his wife leads
to adultery- the clear breaking of God’s law.
6. Disregard by another man who takes advantage of the first man’s transgression,
has the same guilt
7. God’s standards remain fixed in their accountability for /of human action.
