Paying Tribute Matthew 17 24-27

Read the passage: Matthew 17

vs.24, 1) A believer is not exempt from man's system of governing.
25 ( ••• doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes.)

vs. 25 2) The requirement of the law is for man to do something.
(of whom? sons or strangers?)

vs. 26 3) The requirement of grace is free:
( ••• then are the sons free)

vs. 27 4) A believer can submit to the human system of government and still be free.
(notwithstanding)

5) A believer's submission to human government is to be an example to unbelievers.
(lest we should offend them)
so they are not caused to stumble

6) God will provide the resource to satisfy the requirement of human government.
(go thou to the sea, ••• )

7) It is only by God's grace and miraculous power that a believer is able to bring Godly satisfaction (a Godly testimony) to the requirements of human government.
(and when thou hast opened its mouth, ••• )
