Read the passage: 2 Timothy 1
v.3 1. Support in prayer for a brother.
(I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;)
v.4 2. Desiring the fellowship of a brother who is following after Christ.
(Greatly desiring to see thee,)
v.4 3. Having a relationship that goes beyond external interest.
(being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;)
v.5 4. Acknowledging Godly quality.
(When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee)
v.6 5. Giving Godly counsel.
(Wherefore I put thee in remembrance, that thou stir up the gift of God, )
v 8 6. Strengthening understanding and commitment.
(Be not thou therefore ashamed …)
v.9 7. Pointing a brother to loyal service to the Lord.
(who hath saved us, and called us …according to His own purpose and grace; …)
