A Wise Father Genesis 28: 1-4

27: 1.In the midst of challenge (here marital), he makes right choices.
46 (And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth:
…)He is able to see the real plan of importance. 
He is not threatened or overcome by false pressures but holds on to major issues.

v.1 2.He fulfills his place of spiritual counsel and leadership.
(And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou 
shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.)

v.2 3.He realizes the importance of gaining God's choices for his children.
(Arise, go to …and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy
        mother's brother.)

v.3 4.He maintains an understanding of the greatness of almighty God and of the 
         promises scripture holds.
 (And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful and multiply thee, that thou
         mayest be a multitude of people;)
 Acknowledging God will be faithful in providing a wife-Rebekah.

v.3,4 5.He understands the commitment God holds in covenant to bless his children-God's
children.
(And God Almighty bless thee...And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to
        thy seed with thee; )

v.4 6.He fully entrusts his children into God's land of promise, desiring their full partaking
        of God's greatness and goodness.
( that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.)

v.3,4 7.His view of the future is one of overruling joy and blessing from God for His
        children. (…a multitude…)
