(v.25-And there went great multitudes with Him: and He turned, and said
unto them.)

v.26 1. Jesus must be first priority, first love.
(If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and
children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be
my disciple.)

v.27 2. Total surrender.
(And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my
disciple.)

v.27 3. Totally following Jesus.

v.28 4. Having counted the cost.
(For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and
counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?)

v.28 5. Committed to finish the course.

v.29 6. Obstacles to completion removed.
(Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.)

v.33 7. Forsaking all else.
(So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath,
he cannot be my disciple.)
Nothing in life may be as vital and important to the disciple as Jesus and
following Jesus.
