v.25 1. Ministering to real need.
(Yet I supposed it necessary to send to your Epaphroditus, my brother, and
companion in labor, and fellow soldier, but your messenger, and he that
                ministered to my wants.)

v.26 2. Desirous of the fellowship of God’s family.
(For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had
heard that he had been sick.)

v.26 3. Concerned with others' needs.
(and was full of heaviness, :)
Doesn’t wish to be a burden on others.

v.27 4. Willing to expose himself to personal suffering for the sake of the gospel.
(For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him: and not on him only, but on me also,  lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.)

v.30 5. Accepting and following his priority of ministering to others needs.
(Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.)

v. 27,6. Literally looking to Christ for sustaining nurture.
30 (but God had mercy on him;)  (he was near unto death,)

v.30 7. Withholding nothing for the claims of Christ.
(not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.)
