The Security of Prayer Jonah 2: 1-10

v.1            1.            Anywhere in need is the right place.
                        (Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly.)
                        God does answer.  
                        God works in us to aid our prayer.
                        If it is beyond us, we have an advocate.   1 John 2: 1
                        1 Peter 3: 12- The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and His ears are 
                        open unto their prayers.

                        Jesus does it for us all.  Ps. 141: 1, 2   Rev. 5: 8, 8: 3 Romans 8:  27  
                        Hebrews 7:  25

v.2            2.            The greatness of the need is communicable.
                        (And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction, )

v.2            3.            Prayer gets through to God.
                        (unto the Lord, and He heard me; out of)

v.2            4.            We never get out of range for God.
                        (out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.)

v.7            5.            Our weakness is noted in prayer.
                        (When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer 
                        came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.)

v.9            6.            Our prayer is vain unless God saves.
                        (…Salvation is of the Lord.)

v.10            7.            Our prayers are secured by God’s faithfulness.
                        (And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry
                        land.)
