Read the passage: Luke 18
v.28 1. There is a great desire for the believer to be included in the possibility and
not in the impossibility.
(Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.)
responding to v. 22
v.29 2. The follower of Jesus must place Jesus first as His priority.
(And He said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left
house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s
sake,)
v.29 3. It is the kingdom of God which is everlasting; the believer is privileged to
be part of this everlasting kingdom.
(for the kingdom of God’s sake,)
v.30 4. The follower of Christ will be rewarded by Christ.
(Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world
to come life everlasting.)
v.30 5. To forsake all for Christ is to gain far more of Christ and from Christ.
6. To hold onto the world is to perish with the world.
see v. 22, 23
7. To gain Christ is to have all He is for all of eternity; to deny Christ is to
have nothing for all eternity.
