Read the passage: Luke 8
v.41 1. What a blessing to ask of Jesus.
(and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought Him that He would come
into his house: …)
v.51 2. What a blessing to be present when Jesus works His work.
(and the father and the mother of the maiden.)
v.52 3. What a blessing to not be overcome with the barriers and limitations of the
fearful and unbelieving.
(And all wept, and bewailed her? …)
v.54 4. What a blessing to witness the power of God’s hand.
(And took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid arise.)
Why didn’t Jesus use her earthly name?
v.55 5. What a blessing to see truth is as truth is revealed to be.
(And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway:)
The victory of Christ over death.
v.55 6. What a blessing to see validation of the life given from Christ.
(and He commanded to give her meat.)
She was hungry needing nourishment; but also this was evidence of her
being alive.
v.56 7. What a blessing to have the truth filling the heart within.
(And her parents were astonished: but He charged them that they should
tell no man what was done.)
