Read the passage Genesis 37
(v.7- For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf
arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round
about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.)
1. God reveals promises which are given to accomplish His will.
The servant may have little or no knowledge presently of God’s will.
2. God may give His promises well in advance of their occurrence.
3. The full meaning of the promises may not be understood initially by the
recipient but are given as an anchor to his faith.
4. God must hold the promise in secure hands as well as the one promised to.
5. God’s promises do come to pass as God says, when God determines.

6. It is God’s purposes that are presented and preserved.

7. The power of God’s truth is beyond contemplation; it is as God says.
