v.22 1. Recognizes true needs in his home.

v.23 2) Spiritual matters are a priority in his life.
(besought Him greatly)
v.23 3) Regardless of the need he turns to Jesus.
(my little daughter lieth at the point of death.)
v.23 4) Refuses to discount God’s power.
(come and lay thy hands on her,)
v.35 5. Doesn’t bear the tidings of mens’ influence.
(Thy daughter is dead. Why troublest thou the Master any further?)
v. 40 6. Waits on God’s expressions.
(…and He taketh the father and the mother of the child …)
Waited on Jesus while He healed the woman with the issue of blood.)
v.42 7. Believes and receives the Son’s offering for his family.
(And straightway the child rose, and walked, …)
