(Shall tribulation, or distress,)
v.35 2. Great oppression shall not conquer a believer.
(or persecution,)
v.35 3. Events which are far beyond the control or expectation of a believer shall not conquer him.
(or famine, or nakedness, or peril,)
v.35 4. Life itself is not in danger of defeat to a believer.
(or sword?)
v.36 5. To be sacrificed for Christ's sake is no conquering feat for the oppressor.
(As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are
accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)
v.37 6. The conquering was done through Christ on the cross.
(Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.)
v.37 7. Every believer has entered into Christ's eternal victory.
(Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.)
