v.22 1. The servant cannot have two masters.
(Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?)
v.22 2. To the believer the greater standard is what is spiritual.
v.24 3. Realize Caesar will not limit his claims and influence over people; thus, the
servant must exercise sound judgment and wisdom.
(Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They
answered and said Caesar’s.)
v.24 4. Realize there are many Caesar’s, but only one God.
v.25 5. Caesar’s will changes, but God’s never does.
(And He said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be
Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.)
v.25 6. Caesar cannot sustain a Godly objective should he have such inclination.
Caesar is a thief.
7. Caesar’s god is idolatry and Caesar will encourage loyalty to his god.
