The Great Opportunity for God to Show His Power Acts 16: 26-34

Opportunity for:

v.26 1. God to show His power.

(and suddenly there was a great earthquake,)

v.26 2. God to shake the foundations.

( so that the foundations of the prison were shaken)

v.26 3. God to show His dominion.

(foundations of the prison were shaken) 

v.26 4. God to loose the bonds of captivity.

(and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were 

                loosed.)

v.27 5. God to break down barriers to peace.

(And the keeper of the prison awaking our of his sleep, and seeing the prison

                doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing

                that the prisoners had been fled.)

v.31 6. God opening the door of the gospel.

(And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and

                thy house.)

v.34 7. God saving men’s souls who otherwise would have had no hope.

(And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and

                rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.)
