(But
I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the
morning:
for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my
trouble.)
1. The
need of any believer must be met by the power of God’s hand.
2. The
difficulty of a spiritual trial precludes
satisfaction by the believer’s
natural
faculties.
3. Joy
visits the heart in trial when it is fully trusting in God’s power.
4. Protection
is extended to the heart that ceases from its own attempted
influence
and attempts to fulfill God’s promise.
5. The
believer in pursuit of God’s will is adequately covered and safeguarded
by
God’s great and tender mercy.
6. God’s
defense for every need is present and sufficient to the one
trusting
in God.
7. The
strength of a believer in waiting does not diminish; it is enough to
accompany
faith and to support generous praise of God for His strength.
(Unto
thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defense, and the God
of
my mercy.)
