Read the passage John 8
v. 33 1) Folks are in bondage and don’t know it.
(They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?)
V 33 2) Folks think human authority and relationships make thee free.
v. 34 3) Folks don’t understand the slavery of sin.
(Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.)
v. 35 4) Folks falsely over value temporary life here on earth.
(And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: [but] the Son abideth ever.)
v. 35 5) Jesus reveals true life has no ending.
([but] the Son abideth ever.)
v.35 6) A servant of sin is not free nor can he free himself.
v. 36 7) Those Jesus frees are all free indeed.
(If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.)
