Read the passage Luke 15
v.17 1. A man must see his sin.
(And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my
father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!)
v.21 2. A man must see his sin against God.
(And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in
thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.)
3. A man must lose all excuses by which he justifies his sin.
4. A man must abandon all thought of human reformation.
5. A man must refuse to credit himself.
(and am no more worthy to be called thy son.)
6. A man must return to God.
Here the son returns to his father.
7. A man must repent before his heavenly authority, the Lord Jesus Christ.
