v.4 1. God is not silent with the enemy.
(And God met Balaam: and he)

v.5 2. God can easily rule over the enemy, dictating his path.
(And the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return to Balak,
                and thus thou shalt speak.)

v.5 3. God’s word is a governing word of authority, speaking to the need of His
people, often refuting the enemy’s tactic.

v.5 4. The word of God will not lend itself to the will of man.
(How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how …)

v.8,9 5. The word of God is true to God’s desire and purpose.
(…lo, the people shall dwell alone and shall not be reckoned among the nations.)

v.9 6. Wherever God’s word is declared from, it is the same. In it we see Him.
(for from the top of the rocks I see Him, and from the hills I behold Him, …)

v.10 7. The word God speaks contains vision, inspiration, control, promise, and
evidence of His authority over all.
(Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of
Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like
his!)
