The Divine Work of the Christmas Story Luke 2: 6-14

v.6 1. A time of inconvenience for man or a time of God's choosing.
(And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that
she should be delivered.)

v.7, 2. A place ordered of man or a place of God's choosing.
   11 (laid Him in a manger;) (in the city of David)

v.7 3. A circumstance caused of man, or a circumstance chosen of God.
(because there was no room in the inn.)

v.11 4. A night just happening or a night divinely chosen.
(For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ
the Lord.)

v.9 5. A message divinely revealed.
(And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, ...For unto you is born this
day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.)

v.13, 6. A glory divinely displayed.
   14 (And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly hos
t praising God, and saying, ...)

v.14 7. A hope for every man divinely granted.
(and on earth peace, good will toward men.)

The Free Hand of God Luke 1: 37

(For with God nothing shall be impossible.)

1)  God is unbelievable in what He promises and what He does.

2)  God’s hand is not bound by the promisee, but by the promiser.

3)  God time is not bound by the promisee, but by the promiser.

4)  God doesn’t turn loose of His promises.

5)  God is in supernatural control of all needed elements.

6)  God’s provision is precisely as promised, including every aspect that God promised and planned.

7)  God is pleased with His word; He keeps it completely.

v.45 1. Experiencing the blessing of trusting.
(And blessed is she that believed:)

v.46 2. Having a message of the certainty of Jesus to proclaim.
(And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,)

v.47 3. Having overwhelming joy.
(And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.)

v.47 4. Focused on Christ's person as Savior.
(in God my Savior.)

v.48 5. Seeing the blessing of God's indwelling.
(For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden:  ...)

v.50- 6. Knowing of the ongoing fruit of Christ's life.
(And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation.)...

7. Having the pleasure of His fellowship continuing throughout life.

The Permission God Gives Luke 1: 45

(for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from
the Lord.)

1. The authority of faith, which comes from His revealed word.

2. The privilege of prayer for insight, direction, and specific steps to be
followed.

3. The blessing of fellowship with Christ as His word of counsel is sought.

4. A heart given assurance of God's will as the word of God is locked onto or
into the heart of the believer.

5. The privilege of walking with God through the time from God's revealing His
will to the time of God fulfilling His will.

6. Witnessing the awesome power of God's hand.

7. Just abiding in Christ, following Him while He does His work.
The believer's focus is just as assigned by God.

God's Supply Ephesians 3 16-20

v.16 1. It comes by God's granting.

v.16 2. It comes from God's supply and riches.
(...according to the riches of His glory,)

v.17 3. It comes by God's abiding presence.
(That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;)

v.17 4. It comes by God's proving- grounding.
(that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,)

v.18, 5. It comes by God's capacities.
   19 (And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, ...)

v.20 6. It comes by God's exceeding greatness.
(Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or 
think,)

v.20 7. It comes by God's power of deliverance.

Christ's Teachings-The Loyalty Demanded of His Disciples Luke 14: 25-29

(v.25-And there went great multitudes with Him: and He turned, and said
unto them.)

v.26 1. Jesus must be first priority, first love.
(If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and 
children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be
my disciple.)

v.27 2. Total surrender.
(And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my
disciple.)

v.27 3. Totally following Jesus.

v.28 4. Having counted the cost.
(For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and 
counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?)

v.28 5. Committed to finish the course.

v.29 6. Obstacles to completion removed.
(Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.)

v.33 7. Forsaking all else.
(So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath,
he cannot be my disciple.)
Nothing in life may be as vital and important to the disciple as Jesus and
following Jesus.

The Power in God's Love Romans 8: 38, 39

(For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor 
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor 
height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from 
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.)

1. Nothing can break the hold of Christ.

2. Nothing can impede or halt the flow of Christ's love.
Nothing can cut off the love of Christ.

3. Nothing is greater than the love of Christ.

4. Nothing can dilute or alter the love of Christ.

5. Nothing can usurp Christ's love.
Nothing can take its place.

6. Nothing can imitate Christ's love.

7. Nothing controls nor can control Christ's love.
