Holy Spirit Assurances 1 Corinthians 2 10

Read the passage 1 Corinthians 2

(But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.)

1.God wants us to be comforted, thus, the Comforter.

2.God wants us to have Biblical understanding.

3.God wants us to benefit from His understanding.
That is the believer's daily loading of benefit, the fit of God's word, the fruit of God's word; real application to real needs.

4.God wants our hearts assured of the depth of His counsel.
His truth has no bounds, springs forth and is totally sufficient, is available to any need, increasing or static.

5.God wants us assured we can know Him.
God's desire is that we know Him.  Circumstances in life and opportunity of faith are given so that the believer might know Jesus.

6.God wants us to know of the availability of His riches for our pursuit of Godliness.

7.God spares not to bring to us the honor of His name and word.
Oh! the generosity of His grace.

The Failing of Natural Sight John 20: 1-8

Read the passage John 11

v.1 1. It leads to quick conclusions that are not supportable.
(seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher.)

v.2 2. It misleads others to believe a false report.
(…They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not
  where they have laid Him.)

v.3- 3. It seeks to validate truth based upon what can be observed.
5 (v.3-Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the
sepulcher.) (v.4- So they ran both together: and the other disciple did
outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulcher.) (v.5- And he stooping down,
and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.)

v.6 4. Further pursuit of facts adds no measure of comfort.
(Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulcher, and
seeth the linen clothes lie, )…

v.7 5. The natural mind is greatly puzzled by events and occurrences.
(And the napkin, that was about His head, not lying with the linen clothes,
but wrapped together in a place by itself.)

v.8 6. Faith is the victory that overcomes.
(Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulcher, and
he saw, and believed.)

v.8 7. The path of faith and its fruit can only be walked and obtained spiritually.
