God's Choice Luke 12: 32


Read the passage: Luke 12



(Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the
kingdom.)

1. To give of Himself to man.
His only begotten Son.

2. To give that which is perfect for man’s need.

3. To give heaven’s security and to redeemed man.

4. To give heaven’s honor upon redeemed man.

5. To give eternity’s authority upon redeemed  man.

6. To give deliverance from man’s frailties to redeemed man.  (blessed hope)

7. To give privileged fellowship with the glorious Son both now and forever to
  the redeemed man.

Singing a New Song Psalms 96 1, 2


Read the passage: Psalms 96




v.1 1. The true heart of worship is directed solely to the Lord.
(O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.)

v.1 2. Our encounter with God keeps a new and fresh message on our heart.
(a new song)

v.1 3. A freshly blessed heart desires to share its praise to God.
(a new song:)

v.1 4. The blessings of God are continuously renewable.
(sing unto the Lord, all the earth.)

v.2 5. The name of the Lord is worthy and to be praised.
(Sing unto the Lord, bless His name: show forth)

v.2 6. The name of the Lord is a special blessing to His people.
(bless His name:)
God’s Names identify His position- there is none else, king of Kings.
His care- shepherd, Jehovah Jireh …
His eternal presence- I am … mighty God
His works- Savior, prince of peace, counselor governor, redeemer,

It is a Blessing Luke 1 45


Read the passage: Luke 1

          (And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her
          from the Lord.)
  1. The presence of God is so clearly seen.

  2. The power of God is so presently assuring.

  3. The events of life are filled with hope and promise.

  4. The wait of life is suspenseful and expectant.

  5. The trials of life are seen in proper light, the blessedness of remaining in Christ's hand and knowing Him.

  6. The benefits of the Christian experience are ever richly increasing.

  7. Jesus is seen clearly to be in all of life, and He is in fact life itself.

Nothing to Fear Luke 12 32


Read the passage: Luke 12
          (Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.)
  1. Don’t be afraid God is going to change.

  2. Don’t be afraid God’s grace has a time limit.

  3. Don’t be afraid God’s goodness is temporary or temperamental.

  4. Don’t be afraid God is going to run out of benefits.

  5. Don’t be afraid God will no longer favor His own.

  6. Don’t be afraid His mercy will expire.
     Psalms 23: 6

  7. Don’t be afraid of God’s will, of God’s call to truth.

  8. Don’t be afraid of God’s assignment.

  9. Don’t be afraid of God’s correction- seek His kingdom. 
    Our heart should be for the kingdom.

  10. Don’t be afraid, man in his imperfection is not in charge.

The Ministry of Christ Luke 8 27-38


Read the passage: Luke 8



one to whom Jesus ministered:

v.27 1. To a specific person in need.
(And when He went forth to land, there met Him out of the city a certain man,)

v.27 2. To one with a certain problem.
(which had devils long time, and ware no clothes,)

v.27 3. To one with a  persistent problem.
(long time)

v.27 4. To one with a peculiar problem.
(and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.)

V.29 5. To one persecuted by the devil and bound up, unable to get free- greatly oppressed.
(For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and
  in fetters: and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the 
wilderness.)

v.29 6. To one who could not free himself from the devil’s clutch.
(For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man.)

v.35,7. To one who would respond and credit the Lord Jesus Christ as being all
    38 sufficient and the victor of life.
(and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet

(Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.)

1. God has drawn me to Himself.

2. God has given me new life.

3. God has taught me (immersed me) in His life.

4. God has given me His peace.

5. God has given me His purpose.

6. God has given me His word.

7. God has given me Himself.

Therefore can I but ever joyously praise Him for His bountiful goodness!
